Many clients feel unsure or overwhelmed when it comes to making changes to their eating habits or addressing their nutritional concerns. They may feel stuck, confused by conflicting information, or unsure how to take the first step toward their goals.
I use a client-centered, collaborative approach that focuses on tailoring nutrition strategies to their unique needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds. By creating a non-judgmental and supportive space, I empower clients to take ownership of their journey and work with them to develop sustainable, realistic goals.
Clients feel more confident, supported, and equipped to make positive, lasting changes to their nutrition and overall well-being, knowing that they are in control and that the plan is specifically designed for their lifestyle.

My South Asian background influences my work as a dietitian, as it has given me an understanding of the importance of culture and tradition in shaping food choices and behaviours. This perspective allows me to adapt nutrition care to align with each client’s unique values and preferences. Additionally, my experience working with diverse populations in both mental health and general nutrition settings has shaped my client-centred approach, emphasizing empathy, inclusivity, and individualized care. These experiences drive my commitment to helping clients build sustainable and meaningful relationships with food that fit their lives and goals.
What excites me about joining The Balanced Practice is the opportunity to work within a weight-inclusive, client-centred care model alongside a collaborative team of fellow Registered Dietitians as well as psychotherapists. I value the all-in-one-place care approach, which ensures clients receive comprehensive and supportive treatment. Being part of a team that aligns with my values and emphasizes inclusivity and collaboration makes me eager to contribute my nutrition expertise to the meaningful work of eating disorder treatment.
