Many clients come into therapy feeling unsure of where to start or how to show up, which makes a lot of sense when navigating things like finding the right fit, uncertainty, vulnerability, or overwhelm.
It’s my pleasure to meet those experiences with understanding. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in curiosity. This means we take the time to understand what’s coming up for you, at a pace that feels safe because there isn’t one “right” way to show up.
I see the therapeutic journey as something we build together. A space where you can show up as you are, without needing to have it all figured out.
Adults (19+)
My work is shaped by both my personal and professional experiences. As someone who has struggled with disordered eating and as a Latina immigrant, I understand how deeply things like diet culture, identity, and lived experience can shape the way we relate to food, our bodies, and ourselves.
These experiences are what draw me to this work and continue to shape how I show up as a provider. I value creating a space that is safe, supportive, and collaborative, while also recognizing the importance of ongoing learning and reflection.
Since first joining the team, I’ve really valued being part of a space where the team shares similar values and approaches to care. What stands out to me most is the way eating disorder recovery is supported here. Before joining, I hadn’t encountered an approach that was collaborative, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and genuinely centred around the client.
It feels meaningful to be part of a team that prioritizes creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and where their experiences are truly at the centre of their care.
I am a student therapist in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program at Yorkville University, working under the supervision of Monique Kaye-Robinson (RP). Before stepping into the role of student therapist, I’ve spent the past two years as the Clinic Coordinator here at The Balanced Practice. During this time, I’ve supported clients as they reached out to begin care and throughout their ongoing journey. Through my training, I’ve been introduced to a range of approaches, including CBT, somatic and mindfulness-based practices, parts work, and narrative therapy. I tend to draw from these in a flexible way, depending on what feels most supportive for each person.

Here at The Balanced Practice, we get it. We believe that you deserve more joy, more connection, and more fulfillment. After all, life is meant to be experienced fully (and not spent feeling stuck in our own heads). And we want to help, our team is available during the day and into the evening!
