My approach

So many people I meet come to therapy feeling tired… tired of struggling with food, their body, or the constant pressure to be “okay.” Often, these patterns began as ways to cope, to feel safe or in control, and over time they start to take up too much space.

I support adolescents, adults, and families in navigating these complex transitions; from growing up, to finding independence, to rebuilding trust in yourself and in relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, grounded in curiosity. Together, we’ll make sense of how your relationship with food and self developed, and begin to gently create new ways of caring for yourself that feel more free, flexible, and authentic.

Therapy is not about fixing who you are, it’s about remembering your capacity for connection, nourishment, and growth, even after hardship. My goal is to walk alongside you as you rediscover safety in your body and confidence in your own path forward.

What influences my work

As someone who has lived through the complexity of an eating disorder, I understand not only the unrelenting demands it carries, but also the fear that can arise when imagining life beyond it. At one point, it felt like I needed the eating disorder to survive, a fragile structure that provided control and safety in a world that often felt overwhelming. Over time, and through deep personal and professional healing work, I came to see that what once felt protective had become an obstacle to truly living and thriving.

Today, my work is grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience, and in a profound respect for the many ways people find to survive. I hold deep reverence for the resilience of the human spirit and the sacredness of each person’s healing journey. My approach is rooted in cultural humility and the belief that there are many valid paths to recovery, each person carrying their own innate wisdom toward wholeness.

It is my honour to accompany others who are seeking to loosen the grip of the eating disorder, reconnect with their body’s intelligence, and rediscover the fullness of who they are meant to be.

What I like most about working at TBP:
